We have been learning about the xylem and phloem of a flower.
We conducted this cool experiment.
First, take some plain white carnations.
Fill a glass jar with water,
add some food coloring.
Might as well do a bunch of colors
Wait a few days
Cut the stem and identify the
xylem
and
phloem.
Cut the stem lengthwise,
put one half in one color,
the other half in another color:
And in a few more days, observe:
