Mom's Sausage and Broccoli Rabe


2 bunches broccoli rabe
1 small package sausage (I use sweet chicken sausage because we are trying to be health conscious & the girls won't eat hot sausage; I add red pepper flakes to mine after serving)
3-4 cloves of garlic pressed(We like garlic, you can lessen it if you don't)

olive oil

Chop tops of broccoli rabe while still tied.  Throw away bottom thick stems.

Boil some salted water for pasta.  Cook pasta.

Warm up frying pan.  Put sausage in and cover with water.  Steam until water evaporates, then brown the sausage.  Stab sausage so juices run out.  Once sausage is cooked, remove from pan.  Cut sausage into bite size pieces.

Brown garlic, add broccoli rabe.  Cover.  Turn til very limp, add sausage. 

Serve over pasta.
