Shutterfly is giving bloggers 50 FREE Holiday cards.  All you have to do is write a 150 word post about your holiday cards and include a few links.  Click here for more information.

I was just looking through the various options at Shutterfly.  There are a lot of great folded holiday cards --there is even one with a timeline of annual milestones; the birthday invitations are adorable and some really cute address labels.

Since my girls were born, we do photo holiday cards.  Shutterfly has a lot of great photo holiday card options.  I love to chronicle their lives through these cards, and our friends and family enjoy seeing how the girls are growing and changing.

We have always taken the photos ourselves.  Which is sometimes stressful, getting both girls to smile at the same time, but it's well worth it.  Two years ago, we used photos from our vacation.  Last year we compiled various photos we had taken over the year.  One year we sent New Year's cards and another year, we opted for Valentine's cards.

I like to use photo cards because they seem very personalized.

A few years ago, we got the *best* photo holiday card.  It was a friend of ours, who happens to be a grandmother, laying on her back deck, there was some fake snow on the ground and someone had put hoof prints on her back.  The greeting read: Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer!  I try to get my mom to do that and send out cards like that every year, but my mom never goes for it.
